Maciej Bosak (clarinet)

maciejMaciej Bosak studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Hochschule fur Musik in Leipizg. He has received Master of Arts degree from the Krakow Music Academy and Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School in New York. His teachers included: Charles Neidich, Andrzej Janicki, Wolfgang Maeder, Alois Brandhofer. He has performed during master classes with Francois Benda, Philippe Cuper, Sharon Kam, and Alfred Prinz.

Mr.Bosak is a prize winner at the competitions in Leipzig, Vienna, Warsaw and Rovereto (Italy). He was awarded scholarships by: Irene Diamond Foundation, Sapere Auso Foundation, President of the Mozarteum University (Prof.Klaus Ager), and the Polish Ministry of Culture.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Mr.Bosak has performed at the Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully at Lincoln Center, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, and during festivals in: Verbier, Schleswig Holstein, New York, Vienna, Warsaw, Berlin, Bonn, Stuttgart and Macao.

As a guest principal clarinetist has worked with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Verbier Festival Orchestra, Juilliard Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Macao Orchestra, Shanghai Sinfonietta, European Music Festival Orchestra in Stuttgart, Krakow Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Polish Symphony Orchestra. Mr.Bosak has worked with leading conductors including: Herber Blomstedt, Semyon Bychkov, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Harding, Paavo Jarvi, James Levine, Fabio Luisi, Kurt Masur, Zubin Mehta, and Andre Previn.

Mr.Bosak has performed throughout Europe, US, China (Hong Kong, Macao), as well as in Japan, Korea, Australia and South Africa.

In his spare time Mr.Bosak enjoys cooking Chinese food and traveling.
